Position Description

Job Overview  

We are seeking an experienced medical provider (MD, DO, NP, or PA) for a Locum Tenens (temporary) role in the primary care setting in Boulder, CO. We are a warm and welcoming small family practice with a wonderful staff and a positive work culture.  

- Dates: 2/13/25-7/3/25 (21 weeks)  

- Compensation: $75-$100/hour, depending on experience 

- Number of clinical hours per week: 34 

- Day shift 

- Typical number of patients in an 8 hour clinic day: 11-15 

- Age of patients: mostly adults and some children/adolescents. No young pediatrics (under 5 years of age) or OB.  

- EMR: Practice Fusion 

- Schedule:  

  • Monday: 8:00-12:00, 1:00-5:00 
  • Tuesday: 8:00-12:00, 1:00-5:00 
  • Wednesday: 10:00-12:00, 1:00-5:00 
  • Thursday: 8:00-12:00, 1:00-5:00 
  • Friday: 8:00-12:00 

-Business is locally owned and operated by a Nurse Practitioner.

 

Duties  

- Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric/adolescent/adult/geriatric patients in the primary care setting. 

- Perform assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with diverse medical conditions. 

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care. 

- Document patient interactions accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. 

 

Experience  

- 2+ years of experience in primary care/family practice required. 

- Experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and providing gender-affirming hormone therapy to transgender and gender-diverse adults is preferred, but not required. Training can be provided.  

- Experience in GYN is strongly preferred, including birth control management, treating UTIs and vaginal infections, STI treatment, menopause management, performing pap smears, and doing women's wellness exams. 

- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and make evidence-based clinical decisions. 

- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
