Second Stakeholder Meeting Scheduled

Posted over 2 years ago by Laura Hildebrand

Greetings from the State Board of Nursing,

We are pleased to announce a second stakeholder meeting to summarize and take comments on additions and amendments to Rules that govern advanced practice registered nurses (APRNS) and APRNs with prescriptive authority (RXN). Discussion will include APRN rules, qualifications for Provisional Prescriptive Authority and Full Prescriptive Authority, and educational requirements for Prescriptive Authority. Stakeholder input will be limited to discussion of the APRN and RXN rules, their impact, and suggestions for modification.

Stakeholder input is crucial to achieving the Department's missions of consumer protection and effective licensure and enforcement, without unnecessary impediment to the economic market. We invite you to share your thoughts and recommendations as we begin the process of evaluating the current rules. We hope you can join us.
